Covid numbers on increase in Czechia

The number of newly confirmed Covid-19 cases in Czechia reached 3,240 on Tuesday, which is 1,260 more than on the same day a week ago and the biggest increase since the last wave of the pandemic in late April.

The number of people hospitalized with Covid has now reached 590, which is 166 more than last week. Twenty-one of the patients are in serious condition.

The seven-day incidence figure has risen to 121 per 100,000 people. The highest number of infected is in Prague, where it stands at 206.
