Covid numbers growing steeply

The number of newly confirmed Covid-19 cases in Czechia reached 2,895 on Monday, that is 863 more than on the same day last week. It is also the biggest jump since the last wave of the pandemic in late April. The number of people hospitalized with Covid has now reached 524, up by 55 week-on-week. Seventeen of the patients require intensive case. The incidence figure has risen to 109 per 100,000 people. The highest number of infected is in Prague, where it stands at 186.
