Thermal photos from space station pinpoint hot spots in Prague
The Prague district of Holešovice, the vicinity of the O2 arena and the industrial zone in Šterboholy are the hottest places in the Czech capital, according to thermal photos taken from space. In these areas rooftops and surfaces heat up to more than 45 degrees Celsius. Experts say the city needs to respond with effective measures such as roof gardens, photovoltaic panels on roofs and more greenery.
