Devil’s Arse

The “Devil’s Arse” (Ďáblova prdel) is a famous rock formation in the area of “Czech Canada”, a national park that is filled with granite rocks.

The curious looking rock lies about 200 metres away from the green tourist track that runs near the U Panského lesa settlement, between the villages of Terezín, Nový Svět and Valtínov that lie east of Jindřichův Hradec. Those who wish to spend more time in the beautiful natural surroundings can connect their visit to the rock with a trek up to the U Jakuba lookout tower. Children may also like the forest park which lies directly under the tower. Two educational walking routes run from the tower to the rock formation.
