Another Czech mountaineer dies in Italian Alps

A Czech mountaineer died in the early hours of Wednesday morning in the Italian Alps while ascending the Ortles Mountain, the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed. The climber seems to have fallen to his death from a height of 400m. All other members of his group are fine, the Czech News Agency reports.

The incident comes just days after two Czech citizens died in an ice avalanche in the same region.
