Marie Bouzková loses to Ons Jabeur in Wimbledon quarter-final
Czech tennis player Marie Bouzková is out of the Wimbledon women’s singles after losing 6:3 1:6 1:6 to Tunisian nr. 3 seed Ons Jabeur in the quarter-finals on Tuesday. The 23-year-old Czech managed a good start, winning the first set, but saw her service broken six times in the subsequent two sets and saw her best ever Grand Slam journey yet ended in the quarter-final.
Meanwhile, Barbora Krejčíková and her partner Kateřina Siniaková won their doubles quarter-final game, beating Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Ellen Perez 1:6 7:6 6:2. They will be facing Ukraine’s Lyudmyla Kichenok and Latvia’s Jeļena Ostapenko in the semi-finals on Friday.
