Fiala discusses energy and transport links with Saxony leader

Prime Minister Petr Fiala had a meeting in Prague on Monday with his Saxon counterpart Michael Kretschmer, the Czech News Agency reported. Among other things, they discussed the building of a liquefied natural gas terminal in Germany. The interests of the Czech Republic and the eastern German state align in this matter, Mr. Fiala told reporters after the meeting, as both are seeking to reduce and eventually eliminate their dependence on Russian energy.

The two leaders also discussed cooperation in science and education and the construction of a high-speed train line between Prague and Dresden.
