EC says Czech Railways and the Austrian rail carrier ÖBB damaged RegioJet
The European Commission has accused Czech Railways and the Austrian rail carrier ÖBB of having entered into a secret agreement on used passenger rail cars that damaged the Czech operator RegioJet. The Commission concluded that the Czech and the Austrian companies had entered into collusion with the aim to prevent the expansion of RegioJet both in the Czech Republic and on the international railway line between Prague and Vienna. It sent both companies a Statement of Objections. The EU authorities have been investigating the case for six years.
