Ex-MP facing rape charge reportedly attempts suicide

Former MP Dominik Feri, who is facing charges of rape and sexual harassment was taken to hospital on Saturday early evening, several media outlets reported. A police spokesperson said that according to initial information Mr. Feri, who is 25, had attempted suicide. The website Blesk.cz reported that the one-time TOP 09 politician had been admitted to hospital conscious and with moderate injuries.

Mr. Feri resigned from his seat in the lower house in June last year after multiple accusations of sexual misconduct about him appeared in the media.
