Hrabal event at writer’s cottage to take place for 23rd time

Visitors to an event on Saturday in honour of the late Czech writer Bohumil Hrabal will be able to enter his cottage and see his 1983 Ford Escort, the organisers said.

Fans of the author will also get to meet actor Jaromír Hanzlík, who appeared in the film Cutting it Short, which was directed by Jiří Menzel and based on a Hrabal novel.

The Hrabal’s Kersko festival, at the village of Kersko in Central Bohemia, will be taking place for the 23rd time.
