Plzeň become Czech football league champions

Viktoria Plzeň have become Czech football league winners for the sixth time in the club’s history and the first time in four years. The West Bohemians sealed the title in the second last round of the top flight’s season-ending “superstructure” with a 2:0 away win over Hradec Kralové.

Plzeň, coached by Michal Bílek, sealed the title when a 1:1 draw with Ostrava meant Slavia Prague could no longer overhaul them on points.
