Czechia’s foreign trade balance posts 13.8 billion crown deficit in March
The Czech Republic’s foreign trade balance saw a deficit of CZK 13.8 billion in March, a drop by CZK 30.5 billion crowns year-on-year, according to data published by the Czech Statistics Office. The negative trade balance result was mainly due to higher imports in energy commodities and a drop in exports of motor vehicles and their parts, also due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to the report, exports rose by 3.9 percent year-on-year to CZK 388.1 billion and imports by 12.7 percent to CZK 401.9 billion.
