Czech ice hockey team wins first game of Swedish Games

Czech hockey players entered the Swedish Games in Stockholm on Thursday night with a 2:1 victory against Sweden. The goals were scored by defenseman David Sklenička and forward Jakub Vrána for the third victory in a row for coach Kari Jalonen’s team.

The Czechs’ next game is against Finland on Saturday. The Swedish Games are part of the four-nation Euro Hockey Tour, in which the Czech Republic are ranked fourth.
