Czechs advance to Billie Jean King Cup final after beating British team

The Czechs have advanced to the Billie Jean King Cup final tournament in November after beating Great Britain 3:2 in the qualifier games in Prague.

Czech team leader Markéta Vondroušová won the first point in the Czech women's match on Friday beating Harriet Dart 6:1 and 6:0. In the second singles match world No 12 Emma Raducanu levelled the score, beating Tereza Martincova 7-5 7-5.

Markéta Vondroušová won the second point for the home team on Saturday beating Emma Raducanu 6:1, 6:1, while Linda Fruhvirtová lost 0:6, 7:5, 2:6 to Harriet Dart.

In the decisive final doubles match Markéta Vondroušová and Karolina Muchová scored a 6:1 and 7:5 victory against Harriet Dart and Katie Swan.
