Labour offices receive over 12,000 applications for solidarity grants from hosts
Labour offices have so far received 12,177 applications for solidarity grants from people hosting Ukrainian refugees in their homes, the Czech Labour Ministry reported. The ministry has apologized for technical problems in filing the online applications saying the system had suffered from overload in the first days after its activation. People who accommodate refugees in their homes can apply for 3,000 crowns per person a month to help cover the extra cost. The condition is that refugees spend at least 16 days a month at the home of the benefit recipient and the state contribution must not exceed 12,000 crowns per household.
