Minister: Czech diplomats to return to Kyiv
Czech diplomats are set to return to the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, the minister of foreign affairs, Jan Lipavksý, said on Friday. In an interview with news outlet Novinky.cz, Mr. Lipavksý said his officials were intensively on the matter and that they hoped the city’s Czech Embassy would reopen soon. It was closed on February 24 when Russia invaded Ukraine.
The Czech Republic wants to support Kyiv diplomatically and to be present in the capital, the minister said.
Russia’s efforts to take the city failed and Moscow has now concentrated its war efforts elsewhere in Ukraine.
