ČEZ to invest over CZK 5 billion into Czechia’s nuclear power plants in 2022
State-owned energy giant ČEZ, has announced that it will be investing CZK 3.5 billion into the Czech Republic’s Temelín nuclear power plant this year. One of the largest investments will be used to replace the plant’s control systems. Further funds will be used for making Temelín greener and more efficient, the Czech News Agency reports.
The country’s second nuclear power plant – Dukovany – will receive CZK 2 billion in investment for updating a section of its production and security systems. Since the beginning of 2022, ČEZ has also been building a new seven-storey administrative building at the facility, which will provide office space and training facilities.
