Monday sees sharpest uptick in coronavirus cases since March 1
The Czech Republic saw the highest number of positive Covid-19 tests since the beginning of March on Monday, with 10,829 people receiving positive results. This is an increase of 442 cases since the previous Monday, data from the Ministry of Health shows.
The number of Covid hospitalisations rose by 200 over the past two days to a total of 2,200. Of these, 116 are in serious condition.
The highest incidence rate – the average number of cases per 100,000 people over the past week – is currently in the Plzeň Region where the average lies at 668.
