February saw unemployment decrease to 3.5 percent
Unemployment in February lay at 3.5 percent in the Czech Republic, one tenth of a percentage point lower than in the previous month, data from the Labour Office released on Tuesday shows. The number is also significantly lower than the 4.3 percent unemployment rate registered in February 2021.
The number of jobs on offer is significantly higher than the number of unemployed – 363,917 to 263,433 – and grew by more than 12,000 when compared to the previous month. Analysts surveyed by the Czech News Agency predicted such a development.
