Defense minister wants increased finances for army in 2022

The Chamber of Deputies is debating the 2022 draft budget in its second reading. Defense Minister Jana Černochová has submitted an amendment to the draft, proposing a one billion crowns increase in funds for the Ministry of Defense. The extra money is to come from the government's budget reserves. Deputies are presenting other proposals for money transfers in connection with the war in Ukraine and the influx of refugees to the Czech Republic.
