Lipavský: Russia has brought war, chaos and suffering

The Czech minister of foreign affairs, Jan Lipavský, says that after years of construction of stability Russia has brought war, chaos and suffering not only to innocent Ukrainians but also to its own citizens and the people of Europe. He made the comments on Thursday morning, hours after Russia launched an invasion of Ukraine.

Mr. Lipavský said we were witnessing indefensible, groundless and unprovoked aggression on the part of the Moscow government.

Around 150 Czechs in Ukraine are registered in the Czech Foreign Ministry’s emergencies database, he said. Most are long-term residents of the country.
