Sunday’s coronavirus cases lowest in three weeks

Sunday saw a total of 10,549 people test positive for Covid-19 in the Czech Republic, the lowest Sunday number registered over the past three weeks, data from the Ministry of Health shows. The number of tests taken, 39,000, halved in comparison to the same day the week before. However, positivity rates among all types of tests were also lower.

The incidence number – the average number of infections per 100,000 people over the past seven weeks – fell to 2,145.  Currently, it is the highest in the Hradec Králové Region.

Currently, 2,973 people infected with Covid-19 are hospitalised, of which 192 are in serious condition.
