Survey: Nearly 40 percent of Czech men drink while skiing

According to the results of a survey commissioned by the ERV Evropska insurance company, around 25 percent of women and 39 percent of men on Czech drink while visiting ski resorts. Half of the respondents who confessed to drinking were over-55s. Most said that they drink just before taking their last ride down the slopes.

Alcohol consumption is allowed at ski resorts in the Czech Republic. However, accidents caused by drunkenness can be declined for reimbursement by insurance companies.
