Over 3 million people in Czechia have tested positive for Covid since pandemic hit

Over 3 million people in the Czech Republic have tested positive for Covid-19 since the pandemic hit the country in March of 2020; 2.7 million recovered, 37,200 died of the infection or related complications, according to data released by the Czech Statistics Office.

Laboratories registered 24,000 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, which is double the number confirmed on the same day last week and the highest Sunday figure registered since the pandemic began.
