Czechia’s Covid-19 seven-day incidence hits record high
Laboratories in the Czech Republic registered 26,597 new cases of Covid-19 on Friday, which is twice as many as on the same day a week ago. Some 3,076 people have been reinfected with the virus, according to Ministry of Health data. The seven-day average incidence has reached a record 1,353 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Despite the growth in new cases, hospital admissions continue to fall. On Friday, their number dropped to 1566, compared do 1,844 on the same day last week. The overall number of people who died of Covid related complications has exceeded 37,000.
