Nearly 50,000 over age of 80 in CR remain unvaccinated

Around 48,500 people in the Czech Republic over the age of 80 have not been vaccinated against Covid-19, according to the latest data on the country’s vaccination programme cited by the Czech News Agency.

However, over 90 percent of people in the 80-plus bracket have received at least one jab against the coronavrius. Around one-third of them have not received a booster.

The head of the Institute for Health Information and Statistics, Ladislav Dušek, said that the vaccination rate in the age category was very good.
