Czech guitar legend Luboš Andršt dies at age 73
Czech blues, jazz and art-rock guitarist Luboš Andršt has died at the age of 73. During a career spanning half a century, he made over a dozen solo albums.
Andršt long collaborated with leading local musicians such as Michal Prokop in the band Framus Five and with the floutist Jiří Stivín.
After the fall of communism, he joined the backing band of singer Marta Kubišová, before forming his own blues-rock band.
Andršt also performed with international stars such as Paul Jones, Dan Gillespie, Katie Webster and B.B. King.
