Outgoing PM Babiš says his administration did a good job despite coronavirus pandemic
Outgoing Prime Minister Andrej Babiš on Friday called a final cabinet meeting at which he summed up the administration’s performance in office and thanked ministers for their work. He said that the work of his cabinet had been greatly complicated by the coronavirus pandemic, but even so, it had managed to fulfill many of its goals, increasing old age pensions, cutting taxes, and investing into health, transport, digitalization and defense. He stressed that despite the pandemic the Czech Republic had one of the lowest unemployment rates in Europe. Mr. Babiš said that in line with the tradition of American presidents, he had left his successor in office, Petr Fiala, a letter.
