Thursday sees lowest working day rise in coronavirus cases in three weeks
Laboratories in the Czech Republic registered 14,229 new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, about 4,400 fewer than on the same day last week. It was the eighth day of week-on-week decline in new cases in succession.
Over 6,300 people are currently hospitalized with Covid, with over 1,000 requiring intensive care. The incidence number has dropped to 938 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Over 2.31 million people in the Czech Republic contracted the virus since the pandemic hit the country last March and 34,242 of them died of Covid related complications.
