People over 50 to be eligible for Covid booster shot after 5 months

As of mid-December, people over 50 will be eligible to get the Covid-19 booster shot five months after their second dose, outgoing Prime Minister Andrej Babiš said on Thursday.

Presently, only people over 60 can get the third dose of the Covid vaccine five months after their primary vaccination. Others must wait until six months have elapsed.

The process of administering booster shots to people over 55 will start on December 13. People over 50 can get the third dose from December 20.
