Czech state honours ceremony postponed indefinitely due to Covid situation

Czech state honours, normally presented at Prague Castle by the head of state on the traditional October 28 Independence Day holiday, have been further postponed.

After first postponing the ceremony to New Year's Day, due to his health, President Miloš Zeman, has now said through a spokesman that it will not be held until the Covid situation allows.

The 2020 ceremony did not take place due to the Covid situation, so laureates from that year and 2021 will be presented with medals and orders together, possibly before spring.
