Critical lack of bus drivers resulting in disruptions and delays

The National Road Transport Association is proposing to switch to its holiday traffic schedule due to a severe lack of bus drivers. The association lacks around 20,000 professional drivers and a large number of its employees are currently incapacitated due to the coronavirus epidemic. As a result, many intercity bus connections are disrupted with delays of several hours. Faced with possible sanctions from regional authorities, the Road Transport Association is proposing to introduce its holiday traffic schedule from December 20 until January 2.
