Health Ministry to propose that antigen tests should no longer be valid at mass events

The Czech Health Ministry will propose to the government that, from November 22, organisers of events exceeding 1,000 people will not be able to accept antigen tests as proof of being negative for COVID-19, Chief Hygienist Pavla Svrčinová said at a press conference on Thursday. If the proposal is passed, only PCR tests would be accepted.

Skiing facilities across the country would also be required to check whether people who are buying a ticket have a valid coronavirus test, vaccine certificate, or have proof of antibodies. According to the chief hygienist, respirators and similar respiratory equipment would be required on skiing lifts and in queues, if social distancing rules can’t be maintained.
