Nearly 6,000 fresh Covid cases registered in CR Wednesday
Some 5,824 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the Czech Republic on Wednesday, a jump of over 2,500 on the same day a week earlier.
The number of people hospitalised with the virus has risen to nearly 1,300, which is the highest figure since mid-May. Of those patients receiving specialist care, 167 are in a critical condition.
Deaths are also on the rise. Forty-three were recorded in the first three days of this week. This compares to 28 in the same period last week. The number for this week so far may be revised upwards.
