Health Minister Vojtěch seeks tougher measures to fight Covid-19
Health Minister Adam Vojtěch (independent) has introduced a package of measures he says are needed to intensify the fight against the Covid-19. The government is due to vote on the package on Wednesday afternoon.
Among the measures that Vojtěch wants to reintroduce are requiring pubs and restaurants to monitor compliance with rules, as is standard in a number of other European Union countries, including Germany, Austria and France.
Vojtěch is also advocating for FFP2-type respirators to be made mandatory again in workplaces and in regions where the Covid-19 pandemic is worst that children over the age of 12 wear facemasks when in class.
There are no plans, however, to reduce the timeframe for the validity of negative Covid-19 test certificates.
