Highest weekend rise in Covid cases recorded on Saturday

Some 550 new cases of Covid 19 were registered in the Czech Republic on Saturday, which is the highest daily increase for a weekend day since mid-May, according to data released by the Health Ministry.

The reproduction number has slightly dropped to 1.29.

The average seven-day incidence rate increased to 41 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Prague has the highest number of infected with 60 new cases per 100,000 people. There are currently 217 people hospitalised with Covid, 37 of them in serious condition.
