Daily rise in Covid cases exceeds 900
Some 917 new cases of Covid 19 were registered in the Czech Republic on Thursday, which is 433 more than on the same day a week ago, according to data released by the Health Ministry. The reproduction number has increased to 1.24.
The average seven-day incidence rate is 37 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which is the highest figure since the end of May. Prague currently has the highest number of infected with 55 new cases per 100,000 people.
There are currently 219 people hospitalised with Covid, 35 of them in serious condition.
