Government launches new campaign as interest in getting Covid vaccine wanes

The government has launched a new campaign in the media to counter disinformation about Covid vaccines and persuade more people, particularly seniors, to get the jab. The campaign uses influencers and celebrities to reach its target audience.

Interest in getting a vaccine has dropped significantly in the past few weeks, with many people believing that the threat is over.

While at the end of May vaccination centres were inoculating over 100,000 people daily, today it is barely 30,000, most of which are second jabs. Only around 5.5 million people are fully vaccinated in the 10 million strong Czech Republic.
