Romeo and Juliet, directed by Simon Godwin wins main prize at Golden Prague festival
The acclaimed British film Romeo and Juliet, directed by Simon Godwin, picked up the main prize at the Golden Prague film festival which closed with a gala ceremony at the National Theatre on Saturday. The production of William Shakespeare's classic was created solely for the screen and was shot on a single stage, over 17 days, during the global pandemic. The film won in competition with more than 90 works from 17 countries.
