Kulhánek calls for more cooperation on terrorism and climate change in UN address

Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Czech minister of foreign affairs, Jakub Kulhánek, called for greater international cooperation when it comes to the fight against terrorism, renewal after the Covid pandemic and responding to climate change.

The Czech foreign policy chief spoke of his disquiet over the situation in Belarus and expressed support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine and Georgia.

Mr. Kulhánek also said states should work to ensure that technology does not become a new means of surveillance and persecution.
