Most successful Czech rower ever Synek retires

The most successful Czech rower of all time, Ondřej Synek, has announced his retirement at the age of 38. Synek is a five-time world champion in single skulls and earned silver medals at the Olympic Games in 2008 and 2012 and bronze in 2016.

He was unable to take part in this year’s Olympics in Tokyo for health reasons.
