Tribute concert for Ivan Král held in Prague

A number of well-known Czech artists performed at a special tribute concert for the late musician Ivan Král in Prague on Sunday evening. Miro Žbirka, Aneta Langerová and Albert Černý were among those who played songs written by Král, who died early last year at the age of 71.

The Prague-born songwriter and guitarist made a mark on rock history as a member of the Patti Smith Group and worked for a period with Iggy Pop.

Sunday’s concert was part of a three-day festival entitled Metronome Prague Warm Up.
