Wenceslas IV visits Pálava wine festival
The wine, gastronomy and culture festival known as Pálavské vinobraní opened up in the South Moravian town of Mikulov on Friday. Among the guests was also a man symbolically dressed as Wenceslas IV. A traditional part of the festival, the attendance of Wenceslas IV draws on a real historical event that took place in 1403, when a group of men-at-arms from Mikulov Castle rescued the Bohemian king from his imprisonment in Vienna.
