President signs into law bill on higher pensions
President Miloš Zeman has signed into law a bill according to which pensions will be raised by 300 crowns above the statutory valorization as of January, 2022. From 2023, one parent, predominantly mothers, will receive a 500 crown monthly bonus for every child raised. The change is intended to increase pensions for women who have spent part of their productive age caring for a child or children and consequently have lower pensions. After the January increase, the average monthly pension would be 16,275 crowns.
