Aid to Afghanistan: nearly 4 million crowns collected in Czechia

Since last week, more than 3,800,000 crowns has been collected through drives organised by the Czech NGO People in Need and the national branch of UNICEF. The money is intended to help mainly women and children, Czech Television reports.

According to UNICEF Czech Republic spokesperson Lucie Štěpánková, the money raised has already gone to providing over 5 million litres of drinking water and 100 first aid kits for the wounded and the sick.
