Zeman to make public further objections to counterintelligence chief

President Miloš Zeman says he plans to soon make public further objections to Michal Koudelka, the now acting director of the BIS counterintelligence service. In an interview, Mr. Zeman hinted that this could refer to wiretaps. The president has long been a critic of BIS and Mr. Koudelka, whose term officially ended at the weekend.

BIS said in a statement that it would not respond to any comments from the president but that it always acted in accordance with the law.
