Czech firefighters returning from Greece as situation improves
Czech firefighters are returning home from Greece, where for over a week, they were part of a multinational force helping to tame the extensive forest fires devastating the country amid a record heatwave. A crew of 36 firefighters from the Czech Republic, manning 15 fire engines, worked alongside their Greek and French counterparts in extremely difficult terrain in the Peloponnese peninsula.
