Study: growing number of Czechs buy property abroad

A growing number of Czechs are buying real estate abroad, the Czech News Agency reported on Sunday, citing data from the realestate website Sreality.cz. Between December 2020 and January 2021, the number of inquiries about foreign property investments increased by 62 percent.

Czech clients are buying property mostly in seaside locations. The most popular country is Croatia, where the interest has doubles over the past year, followed by Greece, Italy and Spain. Most clients, over 60 percent, use their foreign property as a holiday home or rent it out during their absence.
