Five million Czechs have now been fully vaccinated against coronavirus
Thursday saw the total number of fully vaccinated Czechs exceed 5 million, nearly 47 percent of the total population, according to data from the Czech Health Ministry. In total, 10.6 million jabs have been applied since vaccinations against the COVID-19 coronavirus began in the Czech Republic in December 2020. However, daily vaccination rates fell in week-on-week terms.
The highest number of total administered vaccines has been registered in Prague, where 1.9 million doses have been applied so far. South-Moravia, Central Bohemia and the Moravian-Silesian Region also registered over a million jabs. The lowest vaccination rate is in the sparsely populated Karlovy Vary Region – 283,000 doses.
