Czech canoeists take another medal at Tokyo Olympics
The Czech Republic has taken another medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo on Thursday. Canoeists Josef Dostál and Radek Šlouf won the bronze medal in the 1,000 metres men's double kayak, bringing the Czech Olympic Team’s medal tally up to nine. The race was won by Australia’s Jean van der Westhuyzen and Thomas Green.
It is a fourth Olympic medal for Dostál, who previously won the bronze at the 2012 London Summer Olympics in the 1000 metres event and the silver medal in the same discipline at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He was also part of the Czech team that won thebronze medal in the K-4 1000 metres event in Rio.
